Media Viewer 2.0 Is Here. And Your Review Experience Just Got a Whole Lot Better.

The Media Viewer is one of the most-used parts of StreamWork. Teams rely on it daily, clients open it from their inbox, and stakeholders use it to give feedback wherever they are, and without ever needing to log in. We took something that already worked well and made it even better.

We rebuilt the StreamWork Media Viewer from scratch. The result is the fastest, most focused review experience we've ever shipped in our creative approval and online proofing platform, now with side-by-side asset comparison, a fully refreshed mobile experience, and a lot more.

Media Viewer 2.0 Is Here. And Your Review Experience Just Got a Whole Lot Better.

The StreamWork Media Viewer is the heart of the review experience, a dedicated space where teams share creative files, collect feedback, and get approvals across every asset type, from images and video to PDFs and decks. Teams rely on it, clients open it from their inbox, and stakeholders use it to give feedback without ever needing to log in or learn a tool. It already worked well. 2.0 makes it significantly better.

We rebuilt the entire experience around one priority: intelligent, intuitive creative approval software that feels natural from the first click, whether you're a power user or a first-time reviewer. Every new capability has been designed to reduce friction, keep approvals moving, and fit seamlessly into your existing workflow.

What's new

A media-first layout

When a reviewer opens a file, the only thing that should matter is the asset in front of them. Panels only open when needed, so there's nothing competing for attention. Pin any panel to keep it open if you prefer. A cleaner view means faster, more focused feedback and fewer rounds of revision.

Media Viewer 2.0 with inline commenting

Floating comments and intelligent feedback tools

Precise feedback starts with being able to place it exactly where it belongs. Click anywhere on the asset to drop a comment right on it, with annotation and markup tools on the left side of the viewer and in the floating comment, within reach but never in the way. Check off comments as you work through them, hide resolved items so only open feedback stays visible, and turn any comment into a task using StreamWork's automated task management directly from the viewer. The whole process stays organized and actionable, so nothing gets missed and approvals don't stall waiting on someone to sort through a messy comment thread.

Keyboard shortcuts for faster reviews

Every extra click adds up, especially for teams reviewing high volumes of creative. Use keyboard shortcuts to open and close the comments, file details, and task panels, and to select annotation tools including shapes, arrows, and the marker, without ever lifting your hands off the keyboard. Faster navigation means more reviews done in less time.

Copy comments across assets

Repeating the same feedback across multiple assets wastes time and creates inconsistency. Copy comments from one file and paste them onto another version or related asset, so the same note reaches every file that needs it without having to retype it once.

Side-by-side asset comparison

This one has been at the top of our most-requested list for a while, and we’re thrilled to share it’s here. Comparing versions by toggling back and forth between files can be slow and tedious. Now you can place any two assets side by side and see exactly what changed at a glance. Play videos in sync, mute audio tracks independently to compare different cuts or voiceovers, and leave pinned comments without ever leaving the comparison view. The result is faster sign-off, fewer miscommunications, and a clearer record of what was reviewed and approved.

AI-enabled features for enterprise teams

Slow review cycles are one of the biggest bottlenecks in creative production, and manual processes make it worse. StreamWork's AI-enabled creative approval workflows help teams move faster with less effort. AI video transcription for enterprise teams surfaces feedback across video assets instantly, so nothing gets buried and no one has to scrub through footage to track down a note.

StreamWork enhanced mobile review experience for stakeholders

A refreshed mobile experience

Approvals slow down when reviewers can only respond from their desk. The fully refreshed mobile experience brings the same clean, asset-first layout to your phone, so external clients and stakeholders can open a review link, see the asset clearly, leave precise feedback, and move things forward from wherever they are. When reviewers can respond from anywhere, projects stop waiting on people.
